Untitled Bullshit.

I am the mountain that weeps snow.
Burning brightly in the sun.
I am the forest that cries leaves.
Red flames falling gently.
I am the river whose tears burst its banks.
Brown and raging with white foam caps.
I am the prairie which bleeds flowers in the spring.

The wind is my lover and she has gone from me.
Taking with her all the scents of my youth.

Untitled: Garbage

Here I am. I loved you with all of me, and that wasn't enough. We split and I feel free and that is enough and I loved you and you kicked me out of bed because you saw demons in me that I did not. There are dark places that no one else could go to . You saw the end and it was filled with glycerine. I loved you as fire loves wood. You are my cold winter night. Goodbye forever. Good night and good luck. I hope the future brings you things that you want.

Your mornings are lighter.
Mine are filled with lead

I wake up to gray.
I sit in beige.

If my life is styrofoam then my mornings are lighter too.

Whatever can I do?
Are we forever through?

Goodbye, I Love You.

I asked for a hug. One last time. I wish I had asked for a kiss. One last time. I looked in your eyes, and I cried. One last time. I said we should end it. One last time. You said that we shouldn't talk for thirty days. One last time. I miss you. One last time. I've been looking at all the pictures I took of you. One last time. A part of me still loves you. One last time. A big part. One last time. I just wish we'd had more time. One last time. I don't know how I'm going to make it the rest of these thirty days.

I am wicked old Chronos atop my mountain,
I ate a load of old stones instead of my children.

My boy's down there somewhere sharpening a sword.
Soon he'll come running up, hacking his way forward.

All I can do is watch this play out again and again
What else can you do with repeated sin, but sin?

I'm a shoebox full of ends of string
A pitcher made of loosened wiring
Forty bottlecaps shaken and gyring

I tried to let you in. I tried to open these big oak doors.
But you stood outside and went from house to house with a lantern and a light and set the whole damn neighborhood on fire.

For Want

The rider has been lost
The shoes have rusted
The horse is lame
The nail is bent

And I am waiting
Still and silent
on the shore
